How do I accept B2B payments with AND?
AND provides a gateway built into our Business and Premier accounts. It automatically fills in all level 2/3 data, so you get the best rates with no extra work.
Does Level 2/3 cost extra?
No, not with AND! Most providers charge a premium for level 3 access, but we believe in getting the lowest rates possible for every merchant.
What is Level 2 and Level 3 Processing?
Visa/MasterCard reward B2B merchants for passing through additional data points on qualifying sales. Merchants can see up to 50% savings in interchange fees.
What savings can I expect?
Savings will depend on the types of cards your customers present to you. Common reductions are around 30-35% below standard interchange fees.
How do I reduce Interchange fees?
To access level 2/3 rates, you need to utilize a payment gateway that supports the transfer of qualifying data points. Some gateways can auto-fill, saving time.
What card types are eligible for savings?
Typically, if your customers are other businesses, you'll accept eligible cards. Any Visa/MasterCard business card is eligible, along with corporate, purchasing, and government cards.
What extra data do I input with the sale?
With the AND gateway... none. You input nothing extra, and the system handles the rest. There's no need to add item names, quantities, or anything else.
How can I tell if a card is eligible for savings?
Unless your customer tells you what type of card they have, you won't be able to know in advance. Once processed, the interchange fees will be reflected on your monthly statement.
Business, Corporate, Purchasing, and Government Cards
Each card type has a unique interchange structure, with different potential savings. Understanding what types of cards your customers pay with can help you anticipate costs.
Advanced B2B payment needs
Some of your clients may demand specific line item level 3 data. We offer 3rd party gateways like NMI, USAePay, and Authorize.net to meet your unique needs.
Does AND have an open API?
Yes! The AND gateway has an open API that allows you to write into almost any system you need. Build our system into yours, so your team can stay efficient.
