Are terminals PCI compliant?

All terminals that AND sells are PCI compliant, yes. However, existing terminals may not necessarily be compliant - just because it "works" doesn't mean a terminal is compliant!

PCI Compliance is a set of standards that regularly update as technology changes. As such - a terminal could have been PCI compliant in the past, but no longer be compliant anymore. This is common in the industry, as terminals or hardware becomes obsolete and no longer meets updated standards and requirements. When this happens, the terminal will continue to operate, but a new form of liability falls on the merchant who chooses not to update. If their terminal is found to be the source of a data-breach, they could be on the hook for fines and penalties. Not good! That's why it's so important to ensure you're staying compliant.

At AND, we only sell terminals with the latest technology, to ensure that you're "future-proofed" for years to come. All terminals we sell meet current PCI standards, and all of our accounts include PCI questionnaire and scanning services, to ensure that your terminal is configured properly to meet current PCI compliance standards.

Even better - if you choose a PAX smart terminal (like this PAX a80) then your PCI compliance gets even easier, as there are no quarterly network scans for PCI compliance!
