Getting fair processing rates
Assuming you don't utilize zero-cost processing methods, it's vital that you're receiving the lowest possible rates in order to minimize your overall acceptance costs.
If your business is capable, we always recommend zero-cost processing first. You can legitimately get your costs down to $50/month, no matter your processed volume. But, we know that zero-cost doesn't work for all merchants. And if not, then you need to be hyper-vigilant about the rates you pay to your provider - because they directly impact your bottom line.

If you're covering your own processing fees, we highly recommend an interchange plus model of some sort. This simply means that your provider is going to share the underlying costs with you, and add some sort of known margin on top. The main advantage to this model is that you get to know the interchange rates. Essentially, you get to keep your provider honest. You can see what portion of your bill is interchange, and what portion is margin! It also allows you to easily compare two providers. If they're both offering interchange-plus pricing, then it's a simple matter of comparing their two sets of margins above interchange.

Naturally, AND's pricing model is interchange-plus! It's a variant known as membership pricing, where we add a flat-rate monthly fee to the underlying interchange rates. It allows you to know exactly what AND will make every month, no surprises. We believe that our merchants should have full transparency into their processing rates and fees!
We're serious about saving money.
AND is dedicated to getting your processing rates as close to zero as possible. We utilize membership pricing along with cash discounting and surcharging programs to maximize savings. Let our analysts review your statements and see how much money we can put back in your pockets.
